Job Change Letters — Laura Chen (The pack generates each letter on its own page. Letter 1 of 3 shown below.) Laura Chen Senior Data Analyst 18 April 2026 Michael Torres Analytics Manager Corvid Insurance Services Dear Michael, Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my position as Senior Data Analyst at Corvid Insurance Services. In line with the four-week notice period in my contract, my last working day will be 15 May 2026. I am grateful for the past four years at Corvid. Working on the claims-forecasting programme under your guidance has shaped me as an analyst, and I have genuinely valued the trust you placed in me and the team we built around the reporting platform. Over my remaining weeks I will complete the Q2 reporting cycle, document the forecasting models, and hand over my responsibilities to whomever you designate. Please let me know how else I can help make the transition smooth. Thank you again for everything. I hope our paths cross often. Yours sincerely, Laura Chen — Letter 2: Employment verification letter for HR letterhead, signed by Priya Menon, HR Director · Letter 3: Recommendation letter draft for Michael Torres to review and sign —
Frequently asked questions
- Which letters does the pack include?
- Always your resignation letter, in the tone you choose. Optionally, an employment verification letter drafted for your current HR team to sign — useful for a new employer, a landlord or bank, or a visa file — and a recommendation letter drafted in your referee's voice for them to review and sign. Leave either optional section blank and that letter is simply omitted.
- Why generate the letters together instead of separately?
- Because they describe the same facts — your title, your dates, your employer — and inconsistencies get noticed by exactly the people these letters are for. Generating all three from one set of answers keeps every date and detail aligned, and each letter comes out ready for its intended signer rather than needing a rewrite.
- Who signs each letter?
- You sign the resignation letter and give it to your manager. The verification letter is a draft for your employer: HR prints it on company letterhead and the named signatory signs it. The recommendation letter is a draft for your referee — they review it, adjust anything they want to say differently, and sign it themselves. Drafting for your signers is normal practice; it saves them time and they keep full control over the final wording.
- Can I skip the verification or recommendation letters?
- Yes. Both are optional — leave their sections blank and the pack contains only your resignation letter. Fill in one or both when you need them; there are no placeholder pages for letters you skipped.
- Should my resignation letter say why I'm leaving?
- Generally no. A resignation letter goes in your permanent file, so the safest version states your resignation, your notice period, and your last working day, offers a smooth handover, and thanks your employer to the degree that feels right. Save any candid feedback for the exit interview, where it belongs.
- Do I need an account or subscription?
- No. One form, one payment ($29), one PDF with every letter on its own page. No account, no subscription, no recurring charges.
